Kenya Community Development Foundation is Kenya’s only community foundation. A community foundation has a mandate of building capacities of community organisations and projects aimed at improving people’s welfare. It also works with communities to mobilise resources and set up permanent assets in form of endowments.
KCDF was established in 1997 as a project of the Aga Khan Foundation. In 2001 it was registered as a company limited by guarantee and not having share value.
